Katrina Price hails from Thibodaux, Louisiana, where she was born and raised. She attended Dillard University and the University of New Orleans, where she received her B.S. in Biological Sciences (with a minor in Chemistry). From there, she served as Inorganics Manager/Microbiology Technical Director at Environmental Analytical Solutions, Incorporated (later, Severn Trent Laboratories New Orleans), where she remained for over three years testing waste water, soils, and petroleum-chemical waste, and ensuring compliance with EPA, DEQ, and NELAC standards, prior to waste discharge. Next, she had a brief stay at Kiko Foods, Inc., in which she served as the Lab Manager. There, she tested food and beverage products at the manufacturing level, and ensured all products passed FDA and USDA food standards. Shortly after, she moved on to Schlumberger Oilfield Services. Ms. Price spent three years as a Lab Technician at the New Orleans Technology Center, which served the NGC Region, and aided in testing new products and specializing in deepwater cement testing. She spent her final year with the company in Houston, TX, at the Client Support Lab for North and South America, in which she served as a Fluids Technical Support Engineer. There she helped develop new products for cement applications and provided technical support to field locations as well as other support labs. While at Schlumberger she gained more knowledge of land cementing operations and testing procedures.
Ms. Price became a member of API Sub-Committee 10 for Oilwell Cements in January of 2013, and actively serves on several Work Groups.
